Two WPHIMSS Members elected to Pennsylvania eHealth Initiative Board/Leadership for 2010

Other Member News
-Barry T. Ross, LFHIMSS, advisor to the WPHIMSS Board, past President of WPHIMSS, and HIMSS past President and Board Chairman has been selected as the recipient of the 2009 HIMSS-Society for Health Systems Excellence in Healthcare Management Engineering/Process Improvement Award. Barry is the current recipient of the HIMSS Chapter Leader of the Year Award and the HIMSS Founders Leadership Award.
-WPHIMSS Board member Jay Srini, chief innovation officer at University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, has been appointed as a Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT) commissioner for a two year term that will begin in January 2010. CCHIT commissioners guide and approve the work of staff and volunteers who develop the organization's certification criteria and testing programs.
-WPHIMSS Board member, Dr. Mohamad Ali, has been selected to serve as a CCHIT Physician Juror. As a physician juror, Dr. Ali will be evaluating EMRs that are submitted for CCHIT certification.
